Action Plan Guidelines

Following the Community strategic guidelines on cohesion (2006/702/EC) regarding less developed regions, we plan to develop Action Plans and support new spin-offs and SMEs around CEREHA, as an existing pole of excellence, thus building upon the central role of the MIGAL research centre and of the research resources it will be able to attract and integrate. This objective is also based on the SWOT analysis and MIGAL's foresight process, whereby it has been concluded that the reinforcement of MIGAL’s capacities in the research areas covered by CEREHA has huge potential to mobilise also private resources, attract cooperation from industry and impulse a local “knowledge based” economy.
Whereas a “sustainability” dimension is embedded in the project and permeates all activities within CEREHA, the last year of the project will devote substantial efforts to structure a coherent and sustainable Action Plan, the mission of which is to ensure that CEREHA can continue and develop its activities on the basis of its reinforced research capacity and consolidated relations with industry.

The Action Plan will foresee

  • Strategic development pathways for the CEREHA research activities
  • Mid-term and Long-term objectives in terms of research results
  • Long-term results in terms of knowledge valorization Mid-term planning for at least two strategic partnerships with industrial players in areas where the centre innovation potential is higher (to be defined through internal assessment during the project)
  • Development of further cooperation and policies to access funds at regional level with the Regional council, regional development agencies and other key stakeholders of Galilee
  • Assessment and proposed revision of governance structure for the centre
